Do you mean to the gas line? What the hell does a wood burning stove have to do with a gas heater?

Depends on what results you are trying to attain. If you wish to pre-heat the water going into the gas fired unit it would be as simple as getting a coil of heavy Gage copper (be ready to pay a premium price) at least 5/8" in dia and place it in a plenum area of the wood burner. pipe the cold supply into one side of the copper coil and the outlet into the inlet side of the gas fired unit. I would suggest you heavily insulate the new piping and install a set of by-pass valves should you not be able to utilize the wood burning unit.

If it is a wood burning stove, why do you need gas for?
now if you want to convert it to gas burning, its better to buy a new one and hook it up, but if you do not know how its better to hire some one that does, you don't want to have a leak, because instead of burning wood you will be burning your house.
